Marketing Manager - Activations
Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead the brand marketing efforts to position The Wall Street Journal as the foremost membership for ambitious students.
The Marketing Manager will create and oversee the brand marketing briefs, manage global multi channel marketing campaigns and own key partnerships to drive the student membership team. They will be a key contact for the news department and help grow the Wall Street Journal product offering for students.
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years experience working in marketing, delivering successful global campaigns and manage multiple agencies to drive results and brand affinity, ideally in emerging technologies to younger audiences.
Responsibilities
• To manage global student marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness amongst students resulting in Wall Street Journal subscriptions
• To own strategic brand partnerships for the student membership team and work with the WSJ+ team (our loyalty program) to ensure the student base are being represented.
• To analyze market trends and competitors to create ideas which shape the student strategy
Qualifications/Requirements
• A minimum of three years experience working in marketing, with a focus on briefing, executing and monitoring marketing campaigns
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business
• An interest in media, particularly in emerging technologies and trends in the marketing industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confident presenter
• Creative thinker, ability to provide feedback to agencies to produce work in line with an agreed brief and objectives.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage workload effectively in a fast paced environment
