Research Coordinator, EMEA (12 month contract)

Sony Pictures Television’s EMEA research team currently has an opportunity for aResearch Coordinator, to join their London based team on a 12-month fixed term basis.
This role sits within the research team that supports the EMEA Content Sales and Distribution team and EMEA Production team and will be responsible for providing timely analysis on the performance of SPT and competitor content in EMEA, as well as analysis and interpretation of a broad range of market intelligence on the television and digital media industry.
Core Responsibilities will include:
• Support the analysis of the performance of television programming, including TV series, theatrical films, and local formats across the region. Assist in the development of stories that position Sony product to drive sales and maximize ratings.
• Compile and distribute various weekly and monthly research reports, including tracking key SPT and competitor series, summarizing key client ratings and updating marketplace trends
• Create and develop sales presentations and one-sheets for key markets (MIPCOM, MIPTV, NATPE, LA Screenings) and other client meetings.
• Format, analyze and distribute research presentations about TV audiences using a variety of sources including: from ratings software systems (TechEdge and EMS), marketplace subscriptions (e.g. Ampere, IHS, GWI, SNL etc)
• The role involves some routine and ad hoc administration support – typically involving the processing of invoices, setting-up of meetings and arranging Research subscriptions, etc.
Successful candidates must have and/or demonstrate:
• Ideally some previous experience in a market research or media research position in the UK or other EMEA market.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy and ability to analyse numbers
• Must have PC computer proficiency and expertise in Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Word
• Experience / knowledge of TV ratings software systems and Tableau or other data visualization tools would be an advantage
• An ability to write simple narrative to describe key insights would be desirable
• Must be a strong team player with the ability to work independently
• Ability to speak additional languages would be useful
