VP, HFC Architecture
Summary
Responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision to the research, design, and development of new HFC products and applications. Analyzes and evaluates new and emerging technologies. Drives change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results. Incorporates broad knowledge to address complex, unusual and critical operational issues. Recognizes profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities. Demonstrates leadership versatility.
Core Responsibilities
• Develops and implements strategic vision for the initial development and architecture of designs for HFC and DOCSIS technologies.
• Collaborates with other departments and leadership team to define Company's HFC and DOCSIS engineering roadmap.
• Evaluates and adjusts strategies and logistics to meet changing markets and competitive conditions. Directs the monitoring and evaluation of competitor products and applications.
• Analyzes and evaluates changes in technology and defines current and future departmental objectives. Leverages relationships with industry partners to keep current with technological developments within the industry and develops new standards.
• Oversees HFC and DOCSIS technology group overseeing development and operational efficiencies
• Oversees compilation of reports, manages and tracks department and project budgets. Utilizes key financial and operational metrics to measure effectiveness of research and development initiatives.
• Approves policies and operating procedures and establishes schedules of technology releases and project time tables.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education Level
• Masters Degree or Equivalent
Years of Experience
• Generally requires 15+ years related experience in HFC and DOCSIS technologies
