SUMMARY:
This position partners with sales representatives and Learning Solutions Consultants in developing and preparing integrated custom product solutions, specifically custom print and tier one media product. Responsibilities of the position include frequent communication with sales reps and Learning Solutions Consultants, potential and current adopters and department heads in private and public universities and colleges, and a broad array of internal department stakeholders. This role evaluates for scope and feasibility, refines requirements, schedules deliverables, responds to prototype requests, and establishes the timeline for project submission. The qualified candidate must display a deep customer service focus, understand the Pearson corporate strategy, display strong organizational and project management skills, and develop strong internal and customer relationships.
This position requires occasional travel, with some overnights possible. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with Sales Reps, Learning Solutions Consultants, potential and current adopters and department heads to plan the acquisition and development of new custom products in assigned territory in support of sales and profit targets.
Assess the feasibility of leads provided, routing qualifying media leads to Learning Solutions Consultant, and collaborate with the sales rep and customer to develop and drive the early planning of the appropriate integrated client solution(s).
Manage activities dedicated to the planning of the product offering, author management, project scoping, determination of optimum pricing utilizing established corporate pricing guidelines and systems, development/approval of specifications, schedules, and cost assessments, and project submission. Track project status and fulfillment and resolve fulfillment / shipping issues.
Learn and understand Pearson corporate/sales strategies and efficacy framework, and develop strong internal and external customer relationships to aid in providing comprehensive solutions for customers.
Ensure accuracy of project specifications and cost estimates for alignment with profitability goals by managing pricing proposals against corporate guidelines
Administer letters of intent or agreements as needed, in conjunction with internal contract administration department.
Coordinate inventory requirements with bookstores and internal constituents in compliance with corporate guidelines for new and existing product.
Provide clear, timely, and appropriate written and verbal communication to internal and external stakeholders, displaying the appropriate sense of urgency and escalation paths when needed
Some travel required with rep/LSC on high level adoptions or to attend regional/national sales meetings
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 30% Partner with Sales Reps, Learning Solutions Consultants, potential and current authors, faculty, and department heads to plan the acquisition and development of new custom products in assigned territory in support of sales and profit targets.
• 40% Manage activities dedicated to the planning of the product offering, author management, project scoping, determination of optimum pricing, development/approval of specifications, schedules, and cost assessments, and project submission.
• 20% Ensure accuracy of project specifications and cost estimates for alignment with profitability goals by managing pricing proposals against corporate guidelines
• 10% Coordinate inventory and pricing decisions for new and existing product.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BS required.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant professional experience preferably with aspects of sales support, sales operations, and project management. Knowledge of e-learning, service products, and/or educational publishing desired.
• Candidate must be highly proficient in an online business environment including the use of Microsoft Office suite, email, online conferencing, and other business applications/systems.
• Excellent organization, time management, prioritization, and list planning skills in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment with accuracy, composure, and adaptability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
