Senior Software Developer - Charts Core Applications
The Bloomberg Charts product is used by over 150,000 financial professionals worldwide to make financial decisions. Our next-generation Charts unlock market data and give our clients unprecedented advantages. Today's Charts product spans a wide gamut of functionality, from pricing to annotations, 3D volatility surfaces to map, real-time data to historical trend analysis and much more. The Core Charts platform provides cutting edge analytics of both simple price data and Bloomberg and third party technical analysis. It incorporates UI representation for events, annotations, as well as News, Economic analysis, Portfolio data, etc.
What our Team Does:
We are providing core charting applications on Bloomberg terminal to customers (traders, research analysts, news/TV reporters, technical analysts, etc.) We are enhancing the existing charting applications and building new ones. We look for ways to further integrate our product with other Bloomberg applications to enhance users’ workflow. Our applications allow customers to do basic charting, technical analysis, visualize event impact and news/twitter sentiment, annotate, save charts for future usage, generate chart reports, etc. Our product is featured in various programs on Bloomberg TV.
We utilize wide variety of programming tools/languages to support server side framework and UI. The tech stack is rich and projects involve both UI and server side development.

You’ll need to have:
• 3+ years of development experience
• Strong knowledge in C/C++, JavaScript
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Strong communication skills with ability to coordinate and follow-up aggressively
• Ability to reach consensus and build effective working relationships
• Proven ability to deliver business value
