Vice President, Worldwide New Media Technology
Role Summary:
• Leading review of Sony Pictures Television (SPT, Distribution and Networks) and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) content licensing deals worldwide from a technical perspective.
• Maintaining digital policy globally for DRM, geofiltering, usage rules and other items concerning technical review of licensing deals.
• Technical assistance to Regulatory and Legal functions within SPE
• Assist SPT Distribution with testing compliance of licensees to items related to digital policy in licensing deals (e.g. geofiltering, adherence to usage rules such as stream counts, download validity periods, Network PVR).
• Participating in SPE input to MPAA and Movielabs activities, and attendance at MPAA Technical Committee (TC) meetings.
Responsibilities:
• Technical review of distribution agreements for DRM and policy compliance, maintain records for same
• Development and maintenance of DRM policy and procedures
• Participate in consortiums and standards bodies related to DRM
• Represent SPE in public forums and discussions related to DRM
• Provide training to internal departments and external companies on SPE DRM requirements
Qualifications:
• BS in computer science related major
• 5 years combined experience in DRM, Encryption, Content security
• Proficient in consumer video delivery system technology
• Prefer multiple language proficiency in English +Korean/Japanese/Chinese
