Editor- Investigative Reporting
The Ventura County Star is seeking an ambitious editor to lead a small team of investigative reporters. The editor will be responsible for executing quick-hit investigative pieces and long-term enterprise projects across digital and print platforms that not only impact the local community but also have potential to effect change across California and the USA Today Network. We are looking for someone who is eager to expose wrongdoing and produce journalism that improves our communities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience digging into public records and data, as well as prior management experience. Reporting and writing experience is preferred.
The Ventura County Star is in Ventura County, California, a community of 10 cities and small towns. We are located along the coast within easy driving distance to Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and the Central Coast.
