Main Purpose
To control the printing of Pearson South Afirca product to agreed quality, time and financial standards.
Responsibilities
• Execute requests for printing within agreed workflows and time standards.
• Prepare estimates to facilitate order authorisation.
• Select appropriate suppliers and schedule printing with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance against service standards.
• Maintain accurate financial commitments from quote to invoice, ensuring that the procurement process is accurately completed and closed.
• Maintain financial controls during the print procurement process.
• Actively manage printing in progress to ensure that all orders are completed within schedule.
Core competencies: Functional
• The applicant must have a high level of computer literacy with experience in the use of spreadsheets.
• The position requires a level of numerical competency with a very high degree of accuracy.
• The ability to work within a pressured, deadline driven environment with complete goal orientation.
• A systematic and organised approach to tasks.
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification or applicable work experience is required.
Bookmaster experience is an advantage.
A qualification or experience in one or more of the following areas is required: printing, pre-press, production (media), supply chain or procurement.
