We’re seeking a Vice President of Advertising Research to join our Research and Analytics team and lead the day to day operations of our Advertising Measurement & Audience Research practices at Vevo.
Reporting to the SVP of Strategy and Operations, the Vice President of Advertising Research plays a critical role leading our team of analysts to position Vevo as the go-to destination for advertisers. You and your team will work closely with the sales leadership to deliver an ambitious research agenda, shaping the digital industry narrative and positioning Vevo for success.
Day to day, you will be helping to engage strategic clients, create new insights, build vendor partnerships, and drive new value through your knowledge of research and advertising, right here at the epicenter of the exploding digital video industry.

This is a full-time position and is based at our office in New York City. We are in a convenient location in Times Square near most major subways and train stations.
As a member of our team, you will
• Lead the creation of an organization-wide research plan focused on consistently generating client and market insights that will serve as a foundation for Vevo’s strategic initiatives. Share these insights with sales leadership and the broader organization, thus, taking a leadership role in creating points of view on topics such as measurement, monetization, digital and data-driven initiatives
• Utilize knowledge and understanding of media usage in today's evolving landscape to proactively develop actionable client-focused consumer and brand insights in response to an accountability/ROI focused marketplace
• Lead the development and ongoing evolution of Vevo’s cross-platform audience positioning, including approaches to audience measurement, outcomes-based measurement and ad effectiveness metrics as well as implications for new currencies to more effectively serve advertising clients and drive new monetization opportunities for Vevo
• Lead the growth of a world class research team through engaging and compelling research studies involving the use of deep internal and external analytics, syndicated data and primary research.
• Excel in establishing internal and external relationships and providing key insights, thought leadership and advice on cutting edge media research issues
• Effectively represent Vevo as a thought leader and innovator at industry conferences and events
This describes you
• You have an expert knowledge of both TV and digital video research tools
• You love to get your hands dirty in vast quantities of data and understand business implications of results and trends
• You have the expert ability to obtain and analyze market / competitive information to help guide business decisions; strong experience using research to build relevant, business-critical points-of-view
• You love to partner cross-functionally and challenge the status-quo
• You are an industry evangelist and sought after presenter who has delivered keynote speeches among C-Level executives at large marketing focused conferences and industry events
Requirements
• 10-12+ years of experience working within Advertiser Research and Analytics in a media company, a digital agency, or at a research vendor, partnering with media companies and agencies
• Experience leading trade councils and influencing policy and standards across the industry
• Functional knowledge of digital measurement platforms like Omniture and competitive tracking services including ComScore
• Ability to provide thoughtful strategic insights to senior leadership at Vevo and translate into successful business strategies
• Strong knowledge of the multi-platform media and content space including existing Vevo assets, competitors, emerging technologies, cultural trends and current challenges
• Strong leader and persuasive communicator with a vision. Proven ability to self-motivate, work independently as well as collaboratively to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills
• A Bachelors’ degree from an accredited and recognized institution of higher learning is required
