CITE Workflow Lead - Standardized Workflow and Operations
Job Description Summary
The CITE Workflow Lead is a critical role to the evolution of Pearson from a publishing organization to a digital courseware solutions provider.
The CITE Workflow Lead will manage and oversee the operations and production workflow enabling the editorial, content development, production, and digital studio teams to create world class content at scale in the new CITE workflow. He or she will focus on ensuring operational efficiencies are maintained throughout the workflow and maintaining overall compliance to established protocols necessary for each output.
The CITE Workflow Lead coordinates and communicates risks, schedule issues, workflow updates, and changes to existing processes to the larger CITE team and manages communication between team members. He/she will also be responsible for escalating any global issues with workflow to the Director, ILP Workflow and Operations and reporting out status on all projects in Smartsheets/Jira for all key stakeholders across the organization.
The CITE Workflow Lead works closely with the other SWOT Workflow leads and the SWOT technical PMs and has accountability for the schedule and compliance of workflows and processes related to CITE. As necessary, the CITE lead will work with management and other team members to properly document, escalate and resolve issues.

Job Duties
Planning: Helps on-board teams new to IDC workflow. Collaborates with Content team to create program plan. Ensures relevant milestones are properly rolled up for review. Works with teams on a regular basis to ensure compliance with Smartsheets, RACI, workflows, etc. Anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks. Measures performance against goals, evaluates results.
Risk identification and mitigation: Ensures risk to content development are identified and escalated so proper mitigation can happen in a timely manner
Monitor Schedules and workflows: Analyzes schedules and workflows. Identifies delays that could impact overall delivery of titles. Meets with content teams to ensure risks are being addressed and answer any operations questions the teams have with IDC.
Reporting: Establishes coordinated high-level schedule for full program components with the content team. Helps monitor schedule and technology dependencies for program components.
Operations Management: Communicates workflow and process guidelines to teams. Ensures the proper team members are consulted and participate in decisions as necessary.
Decision Making: Plans, organizes and leads periodic status meetings on overall status, issues being encountered, and any changes on technical or workflow processes. Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Focuses on solutions rather than placing blame. Includes innovative approaches and breaks paradigms when solving problems.
Problem solving: Interacts with decision makers/stakeholders to resolve conflicts between plan and execution of various aspects implementation. Makes and implements decisions compatible with organizational and business goals. Defines issues/needs thoroughly and accurately. Analyzes impact of decisions before executing them.
Leadership: Establish alliances with other departments and organizations in order to assess potential partnerships in order to mitigate issues. Demonstrates initiative and assumes responsibility for successes and failures. Plans strategically to minimize situations of a reactive nature.
