Human Resources is a vital part of Blackboard and a key business partner in achieving our strategic business objectives. The Blackboard Talent Acquisition team is the face of the company to applicants and new hires. This individual will have a pivotal role in the applicant experience and hiring process. The right individual will have an interest in learning the foundations Human Resources and Recruitment to include: recruiting, benefits and compensation administration, and onboarding, international HR support, employee relations, and performance management.
The Recruiting Coordinator will play an integral role in the success of the Recruiting function. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for:
• Coordinating all aspects of scheduling and logistics for candidates
• Greeting candidates and ensuring that interview days run smoothly
• Managing the processing and tracking of contractor requests, extensions, and terminations; getting said resources on board effectively & efficiently
• Creating electronic interview packets for interviewers and candidates and ensuring accurate candidate files
• Partnering with recruiters on immigration cases
• Editing and finalizing job descriptions
• Posting open positions to job boards, including diversity sites and social media
• Serving as liaison to internal and external recruiting partners, including contingent and executive search firms, and job site vendors
• Ensuring appropriate process documentation is updated when changes occur
• Working with recruiters and recruiting operations to ensure steps in the candidates’ experience are properly tracked and measured. Assisting recruiters with shepherding internal candidates through the recruiting process; providing additional assistance and follow up with employee referrals
• Assisting Recruiting Associate with internship program as needed
• Providing resume screening assistance for recruiters when time allows
• Providing back up support to recruiting operations on background checks, offer letter creation, etc.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Drive, energy and a desire to learn.
• Impeccable attention to detail -it’s a must to be successful in this role.
• Proficiency with calendaring and scheduling; ideally in MS Outlook in an enterprise environment
• Professional demeanor and excellent people skills
• Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Plusses:
◦ Experience working with an applicant tracking system
◦ Previous work experience in HR or Administration
◦ Strong experience or aptitude to learn the MS Office Suite
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• This is a one year, fixed term position with a possibility of becoming permanent.
