We are looking for a rockstar to join our growing international marketing team for the summer and to work with marketing professionals on various projects. The Marketing Intern will report to the Marketing Operations Manager and will support the marketing team in market research, campaign production, day-to-day operations, and analyzing and reporting on campaign results. The person in this role will work cross functionally to drive results.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a fast-paced company in the ad tech industry. As we continue to scale the business into new regions, the person in this position will have the opportunity to work with top talent and ensure the marketing team is set up for success.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and execute tasks within an internal marketing team.
• Learn to work in our marketing automation tool (Marketo) and CRM tools (Salesforce) and gain experience running holistic marketing campaigns
• Create and curate content for internal and external client-facing newsletters including owning the process for weekly internal newsletters to global sales team and bi monthly company newsletters
• Support the marketing operational needs for tier 1 and 2 sales accounts
• Support database segmentation efforts by researching and enriching contact data
• Organize Marketing Campaigns in Salesforce for increased visibility into our marketing activities
• Compile campaign data and produce comprehensive reports for sales and marketing teams as well as leadership
• Monitor and update inbound leads within Marketo and Salesforce
• Create operational documentation including the mapping of workflows and procedures
• Maintain weekly marketing metrics dashboard
• Develop and document a process for updating the Marketing Dashboard
• Perform other marketing duties as assigned
Potential Projects:
Each intern receives a special project to be completed during your time here, in addition to daily tasks; the exact project will depend on your skills and interests and current needs of the department.
Potential projects include:
• Meet with team members from each department to create and present Marketing Training and Onboarding handbook, including all marketing functions, terms & definitions, and system overviews.
• Partner with marketing ops and accounting teams to create process documentation for accounting policies surrounding new marketing initiatives and present proposal to upper management.
• Develop database for Marketo email inventory of prospecting and nurture emails, including links, assets, subject lines, and other fields.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
• 0-2 years relevant internship experience
• Highly motivated team player with outstanding organizational and problem solving ability
• Proven ability to communicate, collaborate and organize effectively across teams
• Be creative and resourceful
• Work independently when required
• Creative problem solver and troubleshooter
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Learning Outcomes:
• Understand marketing operations and automation concepts and learn how marketing programs are run
• Gain significant understanding of new marketing initiatives and policies for expense recognition
• Explore the marketing automation process and vendor management
• How to optimize the quality of information in our database
• Learn how to collaborate with and utilize the marketing team’s knowledge and more
Commitment:
