Overview and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for organizing and executing the Paramount Home Media brand, acquisition, theatrical, and catalog campaigns across multiple channels, including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit and YouTube for the Paramount Home Media Distribution Interactive Marketing department. This individual is an expert in all things related to social media content, communications, and channel optimization (both long term and real time), brand voice and consistency, audience development and ambassadorship, trends, and analytics. Most importantly, this position requires an ability to work with several departments and team members in a positive and organized fashion.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Implements a constantly evolving interactive content strategy that keeps social media messaging aligned with priority campaigns and narratives
• Establishes a two-way brand conversation, building lasting relationships with key influencers and empowering fan communities
• Monitors, discovers, escalates and acts on fan feedback
• Produces executive reports on various social engagement and activity
• Identifies real time social media content opportunities and executions
• Ensures all social media communications are on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice
• Coordinates efficient and effective working relationships with internal teams and external vendors
• Supports a social calendar that effectively communicates all social media scheduling and logistics
• Conducts ongoing usability tests and competitive audits to gauge social media effectiveness as a part of the ongoing fan conversation; gathers data, interprets analytics, and makes recommendations based on the results
• Aligns with media, publicity, retail, brand and other departments to assure all social needs are met
Media:
• Works directly with SVP of media and support agency to strategically promote online social campaigns with ad dollars across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat
• Defines paid ad timing, targeting and audience for campaigns
• Completes campaign brief and coordinates creative assets with media agency
• Builds ads links and deliver to media agency
• Monitors paid ad progress and authorizes campaign adjustments
Publicity:
• Creates and delivers talent social media kits for new releases, catalog and acquisition titles
• Works onsite at press related events to capture content from talent and crew for social use
• Provides exclusive social media content as leverage to help publicity team secure placements with various traditional and online press outlets and partners
• Digital and Physical Retail:
• Provides custom creative assets for physical and digital retail partners
• Advises on social plans to drive engagement for digital retailer initiatives
Licensing:
• Works with licensing and their partners to promote purchase initiatives, contests and other promotions to our social communities
• Manages and deploys interactive concepts from start to finish
• Organizes and submits POs and invoices
• Trains senior and junior staff on social media best practices
• Manages talent and production team social media verifications
• Advises on various partner social media plans to increase awareness of releases
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• 3-5+ years of experience as a respected contributor in multichannel content creation
• Proficient with Photoshop, Power Editor and Microsoft Office

Desired skills:
• Ability to simultaneously develop campaigns for multiple genres
• Experience with creating fan engaging messaging and conversations for different target demographics
• Fan and audience development experience
• Skill at both long form and real time digital content creation and distribution strategies/tactics
• Project management skills to maintain editorial schedules and deadlines throughout various ongoing campaigns
• Familiarity with principles of marketing (and the ability to adapt them as dictated by data
• Fluency in web analytics tools, social media marketing applications, and leading social media monitoring platforms
• Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.
• Strong people skills; must be able to manage relationships across multiple business units, departments, and external vendors
• A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly
• Ability to continually learn the latest platforms, technology tools, and marketing solutions
• Must be able to maintain project confidentiality
• Passion for the entertainment industry
• Flexibility to respond to off-hours business needs
