Conde Nast is seeking a creative, operationally-driven Director to expand Conde Nast’s content to commerce business and accelerate affiliate revenue, particularly across a set of core brands including GQ, Wired, Allure, Bon Appetit, Epicurious, and Ars Technica.
This Director will set the strategic plan and build out a cross-functional team including editorial, audience development, data analytics, engineering, product, and design talent.
The position will be based in New York City.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Establish and execute the affiliate strategy for the core brands to achieve the annual revenue target
• Own the commerce group P&L with accountability for top-line and earnings goals
• Coordinate with the brand Editorial teams to optimize content and formats which prove most effective in driving purchase
• Create and manage ongoing tracking of relevant KPIs on affiliate performance
• Collaborate with the dedicated SEO and Analytics leads to identify search trends and audience development tactics that attract a buying audience
• Work alongside Engineering and Product to develop site experiences optimized for commerce
• Leverage Business Development to determine the appropriate mix of affiliate partnerships
• Deploy best practices across all Conde Nast brands to benefit from key learnings
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has specific experience in commerce and affiliate marketing:
• A minimum of 5 years overall work experience, with 3 years focused on growing an affiliate program with demonstrated success
• A natural communicator who can align cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to encourage a data-driven culture and spirit of experimentation
• Solid understanding of attribution models, affiliate metrics, and multi-channel funnels
• Knowledge of audience development approaches, including SEO, social and email
• A self starter who acts with urgency in all tasks they tackle
• Energy and enthusiasm to deliver high-quality work and drive the Conde Nast commerce business forward
