You can be an integral part of helping Bloomberg grow its Quant Data Product. As a Product Specialist you will leverage your knowledge of Bloomberg data and data models to interface with Quants, Data Scientists and Engineers, gather their data requirements, create innovative product solutions, and provide the high level of ongoing support that clients expect from Bloomberg.
We’ll trust you to:
• Manage the entire Quant Data product lifecycle including strategic planning, execution, and tactical activities
• Specify product requirements and drive product development across all development teams
(Engineering, Operations, Support, and QA teams)
• Coordinate sales efforts and define marketing strategy for the product
• Work closely with Product Managers across Enterprise Solutions to ensure a cohesive product and sales strategy
• Participate in Bloomberg driven and industry events and help grow Bloomberg as a key provider of Quant Data Feeds
• Meet with clients to aid in the sales process and gather requirements for product enhancement and client integration
• Provide quality assurance for data quality in conjunction with Engineering
• Work closely with Product Managers across Enterprise Solutions to ensure a cohesive product and sales strategy
You’ll need to have:
• 5+ years of experience in an algorithmic development setting, with deep experience data wrangling – mapping, cleansing and normalizing.
• Ability to effectively communicate with Quants about the Bloomberg Quant Data offering and their specific requirements
• Understanding of Quants workflow including, but not limited to, modeling, factor creation and backtesting.
Statistical background with programming languages like R and Python
• Ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of skill levels both in verbal and written form
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Mathematics or similar
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint
