Job Description
Position Summary:
SiriusXM is seeking a Director of IT Advanced Monitoring and Configuration Management to own the IT configuration management lifecycle including incorporating advanced monitoring across enterprise systems. This resource is expected to build, implement and support the configuration management standards, procedures and plans. Based off the configuration management standards, this resource will guide DevOps teams to automate configurations, including server builds, application deployments and service provisioning and implement advance monitoring.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement the configuration management policy and standards.
• Develop configuration management standards, configuration management plans and procedures.
• Manage the configuration management plan, principles and processes and their implementation.
• Plan the population and develop all necessary procedures for maintaining the CMDB.
• Build and maintain the tools necessary for delivering configuration management.
• Develop advance monitoring strategy, standards, plans and procedures.
• Understand where automation can be applied to various aspects of the IT Operations process and projects to implement these to gain organizational savings.
• Investigate new technologies and software packages that can be applied to improve the build / release processes.
• Apply extensive configuration management, continuous integration / delivery techniques, standards, principals, theories and concepts throughout the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• 3-4 IT Operations DevOps Analysts.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Proven success in configuration management program delivery.
• Bachelor's Degree, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in configuration management, advanced monitoring or DevOps.
• 8+ years of experience in information systems operations.

• Sound understanding of architectural principles for multi-tiered environment builds (applications, databases, middleware, security etc).
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
• Coordination of integration with multiple legacy applications including full provisioning.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in ITSM process configuration in ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM tool.
• Understanding of tools such as Docker, Ansible and Puppet.
• Knowledge of Agile and/or SDLC is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
