Job Summary
The Digital Media Director acts as the day-to-day team lead, mentor, coach, and support base. The Digital Media Director is an expert in digital marketing and buying practices across digital channels and is is looked upon as a though leader on emerging practices. This role serves as a primary connecting point across all internal brand and activation teams connected to the business. Additionally, client management and leadership is a primary element of this role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• 30%- Serves as bridge between Horizon Digital Sr. Management and the Horizon planning team to apply and bring to life insight on pricing trends, research, client and vendor relationships and process
◦ Actively involved in education of internal and external teams on interactive media capabilities
◦ Actively involved in education of internal and external teams on interactive media capabilities
◦ Guides development of category expertise
◦ Active participation at conferences and on industry panels, speaking events, and committee
• 20%- Transfers knowledge, best practices, and HMI vision for buying approaches, analytics and tracking, day-to-day operational management, digital channel allocation, emerging opportunities and new partnerships
◦ Experience with developing creative media solutions and clever negotiation
◦ Great at developing external relationships to get the most out of partnerships
◦ Works closely with Horizon Brand Strategy team to drive development of client digital business
• 35%- Optimize resource management and help smooth operational processes
◦ Act as a mentor and providing conduits for professional growth among the team
◦ Recognize and develop individual growth
◦ Encourage an environment of collaboration and entrepreneurship
• 15%- Participation in growing business via new business
◦ Develops and cultivates key partnerships to grow HMI capabilities and visibility
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises Assistant Media Planner, Media Planner, Senior Media Planner, Supervisor, and AMD
Knowledge and Skills Required
• BA/BS from accredited school required
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Digital
• Minimum of 7+ years overall work experience in related position or Digital Planning role
