Commerce Video Producer, Allure
Allure is seeking a Video Producer to work with the digital editorial director in order to produce and manage the creation of compelling, beautiful, and entertaining commerce-oriented videos. Since Allure is the beauty authority in media and the industry at large, we need a video lead who can create informative and serviceable product-led videos that can appear on Allure.com and on social media.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Producer will help deliver best-in-class execution, and will be responsible for managing production resources (internal and external), timelines, budgets, and final product delivery.
General responsibilities will include:
• Develop and execute ~10 videos per week to fulfill the overall commerce strategy.
• Help to share ideas and brainstorm commerce-oriented video franchises and packages.
• Work with internal and external research teams to conduct regular health checks on current shows and make recommendations on what the implications of the data are for conversion and for scale.
• Supervise entire creative production process — from treatment review to final delivery of projects.
• Review, edit, and approve preliminary and final treatments, outlines, shooting scripts, scripts, casting, production schedules, budgets, selects, graphics, music, rough cuts, fine cuts, final narration and final versions of all assigned programs.
• Adhere to and be accountable for all aspects of Conde Nast’s editorial, budgetary and production standards, as well as contractual and deliverables requirements for programming.
The position will be based in New York City.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
The Producer should have a background in fashion and beauty, and have experience producing branded or commercial work. Our ideal candidate has a strong history of creating and executing digital video that can scale organically, especially for young women. Hands-on production experience and skills are a must, whether as a producer, director, shooter, editor or writer. The candidate should be able to execute a video as a one-person show — producing, editing, and directing, and have a knack for polished editing skills and lighting capabilities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experiences and qualities:
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience producing and developing digital videos on various platforms.
• A demonstrated track record in creative execution.
• Creative and strategic thinker; a mile-a-minute ideas person.
• Experience managing a slate of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude to work closely with external producers to represent the channel needs.
• Comfort and experience with camera work.
• Experience managing a team to ensure the timely publishing of relevant projects.
