The FIG Video Studio is the in-house production company for Epicurious and Bon Appétit, Condé Nast’s two premiere food brands. We aim to create helpful, sharable, and delicious video content across a broad spectrum of food topics—from home cooking, to restaurants, to that new ceramics maker in Brooklyn—for distribution across a range of onsite and social platforms.
We’re seeking an experienced video producer and director to guide the vision of both studio and documentary-style video shoots.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Executive Producer and brand stakeholders to develop, produce, and direct original video content
• Produce and direct single or multi-camera projects both in-studio and in the field
• Research and write scripts for multiple series and content types
• Work with the Assistant Producer and Studio Manager to manage budgeting, scheduling, invoicing, and all related deliverables
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of video production experience, preferably for a digital media brand
• An understanding of social video and ability to create content optimized for specific distribution platforms including YouTube, Facebook, and syndication.
• A deep familiarity with professional video production equipment including cameras and lighting.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to create new things each and every day
