Sr. Manager, Streaming and Connected Device Marketing

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for creating, managing and implementing the marketing roadmap, and associated customer-facing marketing tactics and content designed to drive awareness and use of SXM's streaming services on the app, online and in home. In addition to SXM generated marketing, position will also be responsible for implementing co-marketing and promotional initiatives with external connected device partners, and ensuring that partner marketing content accurately reflects current availability of SXM, features and UX across multiple connected device brands and models. Position will interface with marketing contacts at connected device partners to plan, develop and execute SXM co-marketing initiatives to drive awareness, adoption and use of SXM on those individual brands/devices.
These efforts could include but are not limited to new app launch plans, strategic placements in partner-generated marketing, website content, in-store/POS, social media, direct to consumer communications (EM and DM), training and promotional events. Position will be responsible for working with Product Marketing, Brand, Creative Services, Digital, Programming and Legal on the creation and approvals for assets, positioning, copy and other marketing content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• SXM App/Streaming Marketing
◦ Gain/Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the SXM streaming platform, business strategy, product development roadmap and User Experience.
◦ Develop marketing requirements and roadmap in support of streaming business objectives and technology launches (UX or feature updates).
◦ Develop marketing plans and manage the development of associated assets including EM, direct mail, digital, social media and web content, etc.to drive awareness and use of streaming among AA trialers.
◦ Manage updates to existing standalone and integrated marketing programs and content as required by updates to platform or feature deployments (e.g. K2/Everest; 360L).
◦ Work with marketing analytics to improve views of reporting dashboards, especially when new features are launched (ex: Open Access).
◦ Regularly monitor streaming reporting to spot red flags and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Connected Device Marketing
◦ Gain/Demonstrate a thorough understanding of SXM availability, penetration, UX/listening experience, features and product developmental roadmap for the SXM service across ~20 branded connected device partners (e.g. Amazon, Sonos, Sony, Roku.).
◦ Research, create and maintain marketing content supporting 'at home listening.' Ensure content and marketing reflects product updates made to the SXM experience across ~20 partner products.
# Secure all approvals from internal and external partners for marketing, communications and ad hoc campaigns supporting connected device launches and updates, including co-branded efforts.
# Create, maintain and update the streaming component of Digital Content, email and direct mail marketing communications.
# Work with Product Marketing to ensure Care and Agent articles are accurately updated.
# Ensure any SXM mentions on external partner sites are always current.
# Maintain and update marketing roadmaps.
• Manage the development of new digital content and marketing, and project manage marketing timelines to support the launch of the SXM experience on additional Connected Devices.
◦ Update master spreadsheet/ DAM with new product specs.
◦ New webpage / digital content development.
◦ Update OEM emails and work with CRM, Upsell and Product Marketing teams to co-ordinate proactively marketing key launches.
◦ Gather specs and submit job tickets to create assets for partners to promote SXM in their marketing (ex: Banners on partner websites, in-app screens promoting SXM content etc.).
• Manage the operational implementation and marketing of co-promotional offers with CD partners (ex: Offers/Perks to SXM customers, Holiday Campaigns etc.).
• Manage reporting associated with Connected Devices.
◦ Provide input into report development.
◦ Monitor/Analyze listening/use metrics weekly to identify issues and opportunities.
◦ Develop/monitor response rate and attribution reporting for marketing efforts.
◦ Create/update marketing reach and frequency reporting for partner generated marketing initiatives; create and maintain archive of co-marketing activity by partner.
• Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with focus on Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of consumer marketing experience, including at least 3 years at a Manager level.
• Prefer concentration in product marketing, consumer electronics or streaming products and services.
• Experience in project planning and project management required.
• Strong reporting and analytics experience required.
• Familiarity with streaming devices, platforms and technology and user experience highly desired.
• Experience working cross functionally across an organization to achieve project goals.
• Tactical experience creating/managing marketing assets, communications and digital content.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Must be able to communicate / interact effectively with all levels of management while operating in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
• Must be extremely thorough and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create and analyze in depth reporting dashboards.
• Strong project planning and management skills.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate independently and in a matrixed team environment and take initiative and follow through on projects to achieve project goals.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and deadlines in order to successfully complete project on deadline.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Familiarity with Adobe Analytics.
