Associate Director, Advertising & Consumer Marketing - Penguin Young Readers
The Associate Director of Consumer Marketing will drive broad marketing strategy by taking lead responsibility in developing and executing media and consumer initiatives to achieve both short- and long-term goals for Penguin Young Readers authors, books and initiatives.
Job Responsiblities:
• Generate innovative and creative marketing planning strategies for specific titles and initiatives
• Oversee development of creative assets including print and digital and deployment of assets across media
• Review reporting of campaigns and set internal benchmarks to share with team and inform potential buys
• Work with retail marketing, publicity and online to execute promotional programs that support the titles/brands with consistent branding and language
• Research consumer markets, monitoring market trends and identify potential areas in which to explore
• Work with agency to buy media and negotiate rates/packages based on budget needs and campaign goals
Essential Functions:
• Continue to manage the advertising agency relationship including media planning, buying and strategy
• Ensure delivery of all consumer facing materials with optimization for engagement
• Prepare and create meaningful and persuasive presentations of results to share across marketing, sales and editorial
• Manage macro advertising budget
• Oversee Assistant Manager of Advertising and Consumer Marketing
Minimum requirements:
• Experience in book publishing, marketing, ad/promo, or related background
• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
