Job Scope
Responsible for the deployment, operation and restoration of video on demand products and solutions. Drive strategic direction and management of the video on demand network operations engineering staff across various platforms, in various locations, with varying degrees of technology. Develop, deploy and ensure consistent, structured and disciplined practices to ensure stable product delivery consistent with company initiatives and expectations. Support Regional and market operations to ensure unparalleled customer experience. Direct project planning, capital budget management and business plan development. Ensure a high degree of cross functional communication in line with product deployment and support.
Basic Qualifications
10 yrs Engineering management experience
12 yrs Experience in Video Control and Distribution Systems
12 yrs Demonstrated experience with project management and leadership skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Additional Job Requirements
Advanced knowledge of Video Solutions, including mux devices, splicers/zoning, encoding devices, QAMs, multiple vendor monitoring hardware, Spectrum guide components related to linear video
Advanced knowledge of MPEG2, MPEG4, transcoding, & other related technologies
Working knowledge of IP Multi-cast, including options and restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
MBA preferred
SCTE/BCTE certification or equivalent
Industry and vendor specific certifications and training
