Manager, US Research & Analytics
Reporting to the Executive Director of US Research & Analytics, the Manager, US Research & Analytics is part of a holistic team that supports the production, distribution and monetization of U.S. content across all platforms of television: Network, Cable, Syndication and OTT.
Detailed Responsibilities
The manager’s responsibilities are primarily focused across three main functions: Sales Support, Programming Support and Consumer/Industry Insights. To a lesser degree, the manager will occasionally help the larger team’s overflow of work for Ad Sales, Marketing and the creation of our own proprietary research. In all cases, the manager will be responsible for mining multiple data sources for key information, compiling and connecting these together, creating meaningful analyses and driving impactful insights. The manager will create compelling presentations and sales decks for various internal clients. The manager will also help to craft distinct POVs on various industry issues and able to communicate them in various formats, including but not limited to: white papers, written reports and in-person presentations.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has relevant experience in TV research, consumer insights and sales support with examples of past research work. The candidate should be naturally curious, obsessed with detail and have a ‘never-stop-learning’ attitude. This mindset enables him or her to anticipate questions and proactively develop ways to answer those questions ahead of them being asked. The candidate should also have an innate a passion for data analysis and excellence in visual communication of that analysis. Storytelling and presentation-writing skills are imperative. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a matrix organization structure is essential. The candidate must be able to work successfully with team members and clients both in-person and remotely.
Experience and Skills
Expert level proficiency in Nielsen systems (NNTV, NPower, AdViews). WRAP and Retrak a plus. Expert level proficiency MS systems (Excel and PowerPoint). With examples of excellence in visual and verbal communication of research deliverables. Tableau and other visualization softwares a plus. Minimum education is a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
