Job Description:
The primary objective of the WHERE group is to uncover insightful, actionable and measureable channel connections that move a business forward. We are applying leading edge business intelligence technologies to communications planning and activation, as well as evolving more accurate and accountable approaches to measurement and optimization.
Channel Planning Practices and Protocols
• Lead channel strategy application with Brand Team management to provide successful results
• Provide Research expertise to the Brand & Activation teams
• Work to help establish channel planning best practices and consistent Horizon Media application across all Brand teams and offices
• Contribute to new business assignments, including communications and channel strategy and tool application
• Assist, along with our Resource Development arm, in the development and deployment of new channel planning tools and resources, as well as the enhancement and evolution of our current Toolkit
• Learn and populate external channel planning and industry trends publications (Media Landscape, The New Living Room,
• Be knowledgeable of and able to discuss the general media landscape and marketplace with Brand teams and clients
• Mentor and manage junior level staff, including a Manager and Strategist
• Evaluate media vendors and research providers
Training
• Guide the creation of the HMI Training agenda on proprietary and syndicated resources
• Planning tool application throughout HMI communication planning process/approach
• Primary in identifying key users in the company and help develop a viral education program
Presentation
• Present in new business pitches as needed
• Help to onboard new clients and partners by presenting WHERE capabilities
• Partner with Brand teams to present findings of proprietary tools or syndicated insights at Client strategy and insight meeting
• Excellent understanding of Channel and Media Planning practices and concepts
• Experience at a Media Planning agency a must
• Experience in a Leadership position with 1 or more direct reports
• Strong presentation skills
• Comfort with research, data, and analytics and developing custom approaches for strategic plan guidance
• The ability to constantly re-prioritize multiple projects and to manage both up and down
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Insightful approach to analysis and implications
• Experience conducting primary research
• Excellent creative thinking
• Detail oriented and organization
• Comfort with multi-tasking
