Job Duties/Accountabilities:
• Plan and develop the daily line up of topical lifestyle and entertainment features
• Assign segment producers and work with them to execute a high quality television production
• Work with senior team to determine editorial direction of the show
• Create a daily show lineup of exciting and relevant lifestyle and entertainment content
• Manage a team of segment producers
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
• 2-5 years Extensive experience in television production (live or daily)
• Experience in live production, editing and lifestyle and entertainment based programming
• In-depth understanding of the Canadian television landscape
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Excellent producing skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced hectic environment
• Excellent sense of how to use video and audio to strengthen story-telling skills and news coverage
• Ability to motivate and lead a team
• Experience with coaching and supervising a team is an asset
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
