Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Manager, Social Media include but are not limited to:
Essential Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy
◦ Develop and execute social media strategies to increase consumer engagement for the
ChurchSource, Study Gateway, and FaithGateway brands on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other applicable social media platforms
◦ Develop social media programs that provide unique value propositions, create new business
partnerships, and acquire new customers in key consumer segments
◦ Clearly and regularly communicate strategies to internal stakeholders and external partners
◦ Align social media strategy and campaigns with key marketing initiatives (SEO, customer
acquisition, preorder campaigns, etc.) from other HCCP brands, publishing teams, and authors
Social Media Posting
◦ Create, deploy, and monitor posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and other applicable
social platforms, using social media management tools
◦ Implement planning tools to coordinate and communicate upcoming social campaigns with multiple
stakeholder groups
◦ Effectively delegate posting and monitoring to other team members and third-party vendors when
appropriate
◦ Measure and provide reports of KPIs, including ROI, engagement, and overall growth of channels
Social Media Best Practices
◦ Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze,
review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns
◦ Maintain working knowledge of social media marketing trends and news (e.g. Facebook and
Google updates, changes in algorithms, etc.) and research current benchmark trends and
audience preferences by reading relevant blogs, subscribing to podcasts, pursuing certification
and training, and attending conferences
◦ Educate internal stakeholders (Direct team, publishing teams, senior management) and external
stakeholders (authors, agents, marketing partners) on social channel value, best practices, and the
implications of the ongoing evolution of social platforms
◦ Communicate with I.T. and Operations to ensure social media tools (widgets, share buttons, etc.) are
current and prominent on all HCCP websites and landing pages
Qualifications:
Desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, education and skills:
Knowledge & Efficiency:
Extensive knowledge of how to optimize engagement and ROI on social media platforms
• Facebook
• Twitter
• Instagram
• Pinterest
• LinkedIn
Extensive knowledge of social media software tools
• Facebook Ad Manager/Page Manager
• Custom audience and look-alike audience building
• Tracking pixel implementation and testing
• Social media management tools (e.g. Falcon Social, HootSuite)
• Google Analytics and other reporting tools
• Experience running targeted paid campaigns and measuring/optimizing for better results
• Experience with retargeting ad platforms preferred (e.g. Adroll, Steelhouse, Perfect Audience, etc.)
• Experience with WordPress or other web design platforms preferred
• Some knowledge of HTML code preferred
Knowledge of effective marketing tactics and design
• Lead generation tactics
• SEO tactics
• General knowledge of design and best practices for each social platform in order to create and direct the creation of visually appealing and impactful social media graphics
• Video and photo software editing experience (e.g. Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)
Work Experience:
• 5-7 years’ experience in social media marketing
• Experience working for a large company with multiple brands, managing several social channels
Education:
◦ Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field of study preferred
◦ Certification in social media marketing, digital marketing, or other related fields a plus
