Director of Finance
A little bit about our team:
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this role is a key contributor.
Why this could be your next big break:
As a valuable asset to the team you will be responsible for financial monitoring, analyses and reporting of the domestic and international components of WBR revenue, including heavy emphasis on streaming. – Budget, forecast, actuals
Here you’ll get to:
• Frontline releases
◦ Review weekly physical and digital present views for forecast adjustments
◦ Check in with Sales department or WEA for forecasts, pricing, configurations
◦ Meet with International department for sales projections
◦ Compare sales actuals to budget and forecast - by title
◦ Monitor bump memos, Hot Item report, international sales reports, utilize tableau
• Streaming
◦ Review weekly present view for frontline forecast recommendations
◦ Monitor catalog performance and understand artists/projects that drive sales
◦ Review monthly processing by DSP; review to understand processing variances vs. performance variances
• Catalog
◦ Review Catalog forecasts from Rhino. Update newcarry with Catalog forecasts and PLG off roster new release sales forecasts.
◦ Analyze monthly actuals vs. budget and forecast for variance analysis.
◦ Maintain catalog brand review to understand driving forces behind catalog performance
• Vinyl
◦ Meet with sales department monthly to go through budget, forecast and actuals
◦ Compare sales actuals to budget and forecast - by title
• Miscellaneous
◦ Update monthly Artist Brand Revenue schedule
◦ Update Monthly revenue schedule for all revenue areas
◦ Update NR/CAT schedule for all revenue and P&L areas
◦ Prepare various sales recap reports as required (ie: Top 50 tracks, DSP reporting YOY, etc.)
◦ For U.S. digital sales, update Access database with new digital releases monthly.
◦ During month-end, review all digital accruals to understand what is hitting for each DSP
◦ Deal models
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• Strong finance background with a minimum of five to seven years of experience.
• Strong analytical skills, very proficient in systems and excel.
• The right person for this position must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Stellar organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task, a self-starter, but someone who takes direction, works well with change and is a team player.
