12 month contract
We are Pearson, the world’s leading learning company and we are looking for an energetic, and proactive training coordinator who has a passion for education and training. You’ll be part of the Product Management team, project managing an extensive UK wide programme of training courses for teachers to support them through the lifecycle of GCSE and A level qualifications; from initial launch, to delivery and support after results. You’ll work with stakeholders at Pearson including our Training team, the subject teams and assessment associates.
Responsibilities
include…..
● Coordination/Project management of our national training programme - Working with subject leads to plan, schedule and budget for our training programme. Review events to recommend and implement actions to ensure best reach and quality.
● Developing and maintaining market insight - carry out quantitative and qualitative research to understand the training market for secondary schools in the UK, including our competitors offer, key drivers and market pressures
● Develop an understanding of Pearson’s strategy, develop and refine propositions for new event types to support our qualifications
● Continual improvement of our customer experience - Monitor customer satisfaction of events and identify strategies and process improvements that can significantly elevate customers’ experience of our PD.
● Leadership - Work effectively with other departments to ensure a collaborative and positive working culture in support of the strategy.
Qualifications
So who are we looking for……
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills ready to take on a new challenge.
Perhaps your background is within project coordination or event planning. You will be comfortable spinning a lot of plates at once (we have over 500 training events each year) and you will be highly organised. You will be comfortable tracking these events using spreadsheets and you'll operate with efficiency and accuracy. Key to the success of this role is possessing excellent communication skills and influencing ability along with to foster trusted relationships with your stakeholders. You will need to work with teams and challenge at times, whilst maintaining healthy working relationships. Last but not least you need to have a positive and determined attitude to work.
Location….
The role is based from our London, Holborn offices. Occasional travel to training events will be required.
