Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Process incoming cash receipts that may include but not
limited to credit card payments, bank lockbox payments, checks and cash.
2. Post payments to customer accounts.
3. Prepare daily deposits.
4. Handle customer service requests from both external paying customers as well as Gannett
business unit queries.
5. Research and resolve unapplied payments, NSF checks and credit card declines.
6. Perform other duties as required, including special projects.
7. Process adjustments for refunds or payment transfers.
Skills/ Abilities: This individual will possess good communication and problem solving skills. Good organizational
skills. Ability to work in a fast pace environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Cash receipts and/or accounts receivable clerical
experience a plus. Professional and courteous customer service skills.
Education/Training: A high school degree/GED is required. 2+ years data entry experience preferred.
Cash application preferred. Shared service experience desired.
