Coordinator, Promotions and Events NM
Position Description:
Bell Media Ottawa is looking for an enthusiastic coordinator to lead the promotion and event planning for MAJIC 100 and CTV Morning Live. Reporting directly to the Director of Brand, Promotion and Television Creative, you will be responsible for the following:
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
• Plan, develop and manage the implementation of major contesting campaigns, sales promotions and promotional events for both radio and television while maximizing brand awareness and engagement
• Coordinate and lead internal communications including creative briefs, live liners, contesting execution memos, website copy points, social media scripting, promotional communications and various marketing materials
• Manage and maintain contest prizing, individual project budgets and promotional commitments
• Lead and coordinate special events while engaging with the public to promote our stations
• Write, prepare and present RFP (Request for Proposals) and post event reports
• Maintain open communication with programming directors, on-air hosts, sales executives and the marketing team to plan and develop brand building opportunities
• Assist with social media content across various platforms
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with external service providers, partners and clients
• Identify opportunities for the development of our radio and television visibility within the community
• Other duties as required
Critical Qualifications/Competencies
• Experience in marketing, communications, community relations and/or event planning
• Positive and proactive team player with a willingness to go above and beyond
• Extremely organized, result-orientated, self-starter with a solid grasp on customer service
• Strong creativity, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to function in a team environment
• Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and evenings, as required with occasional travel
• Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds
• Valid G License
• The ability to work independently, yet be a strong team player
• Excellent presentation skills
• The ability to discuss and provide marketing/sales strategies aligned with the clients’ needs
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
