Marketing/Social Media Intern - Sony Pictures Television U. S., Fall 2017 Internship
The Sony Pictures Television - U.S. Networks' Social Media team manages all online social communities to further engage consumers, extend brand awareness, and drive tune-in to our movie channels. The team currently consists of the VP of Marketing, Manager of Consumer Marketing, and Coordinator - Digital Marketing. Together they manage and grow the social communities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube including writing copy, pulling/editing images and videos, reporting analytics, and planning the strategy.
Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
--Competitive analysis - create SWOT analysis of our five top competitors
--Proposing ideas for social media, such as current trends, popular social media platforms promotions/contests, etc.
--Tracking social media analytics, making suggestions for improvement
--Writing/editing copy for Facebook and Twitter, predominantly for Cine Sony
--Pulling images for social media posts, editing images with channel branding
--Assisting in managing the social media platforms for our three channels - Cine Sony, Sony Movie Channel, and getTV
The intern will gain experience/exposure to the following:
--How to manage a business pages for an entertainment/television brand on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media, including legal restrictions and rules for social media
Qualifications:
--Passion and focus on social media for marketing
--Bi-lingual in English/Spanish
--Experience in basic Photoshop
--Interest in entertainment marketing, television, and movies
--Web/tech savvy, proficient in Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media such as Instagram
--Good eye for creative
--Excellent written and verbal communication skills
SPE’s Fall Intern 2017 Program is a 12-week part-time program from September 25-December 15, 2017. All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of their internship and must be available for the full 12-week session.
