Scheduling & Content Analytics Intern -- Sony Pictures TV, Fall 2017
Crackle Programming is responsible for editorial curation (words, pictures) of video content across Crackle (30+ devices) in English-speaking territories (U.S., Canada, Australia). We drive packaging and branding for daily, weekly and monthly events (marathons, double-features, new series, original series, network premieres, etc.) and work closely with Marketing, Product and Operations to keep the network relevant to viewers and available across all touchpoints. We decide what, when, why and how you see entertainment on the network.
In a nutshell: We make sure that Crackle has your favorite movies, TV series and can't-miss Crackle Originals. By curating fresh daily.
Responsibilities:
The Scheduling & Content Analytics intern will be involved with implementing programming scheduling strategy, as well as associated brainstorming and QA. They will work closely with our Programming Scheduling team to brainstorm, create, and implement programming schedules for Crackle Originals and daily content curation. Through hands on experience, they will learn the ins and outs of scheduling a non-linear network. They will also be involved in pulling various content performance reports and work closely with our Content Analytics team to track performance of Crackle's content and help us guide merchandising decisions.
Tasks
Assist in preparing Quarterly Content Overview
• The intern will help source titles and images for the Quarterly Content Overview deck, which informs the entire organization of Crackle’s monthly title listings and network priorities. They will help package together the top priorities for the month, which will inform off-net marketing efforts, on-net promotional efforts, and daily content curation.
Qualifications:
• Passionate and knowledgeable about all kinds of movies and TV (past, present, upcoming) and the entertainment industry in general
• Very strong writing/editorial skills: including strong grammar, style and proofreading skills
• Very strong organizational skills
• Very strong attention to detail and ability to follow up to get answers and results
• Self-motivated and proactive about finding ways to help out
• Passionate and knowledgeable about technology (new devices and trends)
SPE’s Fall Intern 2017 Program is a 12-week part-time program from September 25-December 15, 2017. All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of their internship and must be available for the full 12-week session.
