Required Skills:
The Producer, Digital & Creative Content is someone who understands how to push the creative envelope on AV Content while ensuring the relevancy to and impact on its target viewers/consumers. This position will be someone who also understands how to work within set creative parameters when required.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creative brainstorming, AV content ideation, interviewing, filming, producing, and editing. This person should have a passion for entertainment, films, marketing and digital while having a full understanding of the ever-changing landscape of original content across digital, TV and in-theatre.
He/she will play an integral role within the Creative team working closely with Creative, Digital, Exhibitor and Publicity teams to produce original AV pieces in support of marketing the brand, films, IMAX VR, and other business initiatives.
This position will also work closely with outside creative and production vendors, our in-house Post-production team, and studio partners.
What you’ll be doing:
General
• Work closely with the Creative team to ensure alignment of AV content with Creative strategy
• Work closely with the digital and publicity teams to produce and adapt AV pieces based on target audience, social channel and/or media outlet
• Provide AV support to domestic and international markets by distributing, trafficking and responding to requests for AV-produced content based on local territory output specs, language, etc.
• Manage language versioning for any AV content when required
• Produce, film and edit short AV pieces pending on project requirements
Press Junket/Red Carpet/On-Location/In-Office Production & Content
• Attend screenings/press junkets, write interview questions, and interview talent and filmmakers on camera
• Attend Red Carpet and other publicity events to capture talent and filmmakers on camera
• Manage and produce on-location/in-office interview shoots with talent and filmmakers
• Work with and manage outside vendors (or edit in-house) to produce short AV pieces based on footage captured from publicity events to be used across social channels, national/local media outlets, and potentially in-theatre to support each film campaign
Original Content
• Work within the IMAX marketing group, and with agency partners, to develop and produce IMAX branded concepts to ensure effective promotion of IMAX technology, the IMAX experience and the IMAX brand.
• Consistently research, brainstorm and produce new AV content that is creative, edgy, forward-thinking and pushes the IMAX brand forward as a premium and relevant brand
• Play a key role interfacing between the IMAX marketing team, studio partners and outside vendors to produce on-brand and on-message AV content
Studio Provided Content
• Work with studio partners to ensure IMAX branding is appropriately integrated into AV-related marketing materials
• Retrieve, track and distribute studio produced AV marketing assets (i.e.: trailers, TV spots and radio spots)
• Work closely with studio partners to produce IMAX exclusive AV pieces for various mediums – OOH, digital and in-theatre.
What we’re looking for:
• Associate’s degree in marketing, film production or related field or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Agency and/or studio/entertainment work experience/background preferred
• Previous AV production experience in field producing, film, TV, publicity or related field required
• Understands all phases of pre-production, production and post-production
• Strong experience with producing short original content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and SnapChat
• Strong knowledge in and ability to operate AV equipment - camera, lighting, audio, etc. and post-production equipment
• Has the essential basic AV knowledge to learn about and understand PLFs (Premium large format) technical requirements, etc.
• Strong Post-Production working knowledge in audio mixing, editing, animations, etc.
• Working experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), MS office, Macintosh and Windows platforms
• Constantly in-tune with content trends and understands the ever-changing digital viewer/consumer landscape
• Demonstrates excellent time management and creative problem solving skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate concepts to stakeholders and vendors
• Able to meet deadlines while still delivering end products that reflect the IMAX brand’s high standards
• Organized and detail-oriented while under tight deadlines; handles multiple projects and effectively prioritizes assignments
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborative brainstormer and producer, team player, innovator (outside the box thinker) and a people-person
