Purpose of the role:
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our friendly, busy team. You will work on projects to support the growth of our existing services, language and scientific editing, and work across the company to develop new products that meet the needs of the research community.
You will be an excellent communicator and organiser with an enthusiastic approach to work and a positive attitude to problem solving.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in an exciting and growing area of an international STM publisher.
Responsibilities
• Support the Project Manager, Researcher Services in delivering the strategy for this area of the business.
• Coordinate and support the coordination of projects that enable the strategy to be delivered, interfacing with colleagues in sales, marketing, finance, legal and editorial teams across the Springer Nature.
• Communicate effectively with clients/internal stakeholders in order to fully understand their needs and project specifications.
• Create schedules and timelines with key project dates/milestones for on-going projects.
• Assist the Project Manager in the testing and implementation of new products and services as required.
• Monitor KPIs for on-going projects and present the findings to key stakeholders regularly and in a coherent format.
• Prepare and process invoices/purchase orders as required, confirming payment amounts are accurate and correct.
Experience, skills and qualifications
• A degree or equivalent experience in Publishing
Essential
• Good level of experience within project management.
• Considerable experience in STM publishing
• Numerate and comfortable with data analysis.
• Creative and analytical problem-solver
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and with competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective team player.
Desirable
• An understanding of the research environment and the needs of researchers, especially from developing countries
