Job Summary:

As a member of the IT Portfolio & Program Management Office (PMO), the PMO Manager’s primary responsibility will be to partner very closely with the VP to buildout and lead the evolution of the PMO, by developing structure, governance, templates & tools that help improve the delivery and reporting of active projects in the portfolio. The incumbent will support the VP PMO in delivering projects, communicating delivery and financial health of the IT Project Portfolio, and will support IT savings initiatives, project communications and benefits realization. Additionally the PMO Manager will be responsible to project manage selected projects.
PMO Responsibilities:
• Partner with project managers, scrum masters and Finance managers on the regular reporting of project status and project health (i.e., scope, schedule & budget).
• Ensure that all projects have documented project plans, budgets, deliverables & milestones in the central project management tool (Microsoft Project Online)
• Review and ensure that project plans support financial reporting and time-tracking requirements and are comprehensive.
• Own the management and evolution of the project management tool (Microsoft Project Online) and PMO Playbook, including processes, tools and templates (e.g., Charter, Risk, Issues Logs)
• Develop robust reporting that depicts various execution metrics and health of the project portfolio.
• Ensure regular tracking and reporting of project budgets, forecasts, business deliverable and milestones, risks and issues.
• Lead regular project review meetings with project managers, scrum masters and other stakeholders, including business and IT.
• Develop early warning processes that trigger when projects are trending away from green on scope, budget or timelines.
PM Responsibilities
• Creates and executes project plans and develop work breakdown structures to achieve to achieve project objectives.
• Ability to decompose projects into manageable tasks, balancing scope, time, cost, quality, and resources.
• Develop comprehensive charters in alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Manage all day-to-day aspects of a project, including stakeholder communication, scope, budget and risk and issue management
• Identify resource needs and secure resources to support the project’s objectives.
• Manage project communications, steering committee meetings, and prepare project dashboards for review with the VP, PMO and with business sponsors.
• Able to structure and lead meetings with clear agendas, action items, and outcomes.
