JOB SUMMARY
Provide analyses to address critical business issues and to support strategic decision making for the company. Utilize advanced programming and analytical techniques to deliver actionable insights on the profile of marketing segments and drivers of consumer behaviors.
Conduct business analysis against various ad hoc requests, leveraging innovative data mining, statistical analysis, and data aggregation skills. Support the ongoing enhancement of the analytic data mart environment which serves as a tool for statistical modeling, and investigative data mining. This technical role also includes Quality Control and User Acceptance Testing on behalf of Corporate Marketing.
KEY ACTIVITIES/DELIVERABLES
• Provide support to maintain and enhance Marketing science data mart, including providing data extracts, ad hoc analyses and customized repeatable analyses.
• Create consolidated business requirements for database enhancements, including consolidation of logic /approaches across departments and development of centralized business metrics definitions
• Conduct data analytics/processes and provide timely insights on emerging business opportunities and threats. As appropriate, convert these to efficient ongoing processes.
• Responsible for Data Quality and User Acceptance Testing as new data elements are made available in OLAP tools that are created by IT on behalf of Corporate Sales and Marketing
• Review integration of internal and third party data to maximize accuracy and completeness
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets. Strong understanding of relational database and data warehouse theory.
• Strong working knowledge of database / data manipulation, analysis tools and OLAP solutions.
• Knowledge of census and external demographic sources including multicultural expertise.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL; proficient in other desktop applications.
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative/ data analytics field. Master’s or MBA strongly preferred.
