The Client Services team is responsible for leading the process of developing solutions from end to end, ensuring that they’re not only delivered on time and on budget for our clients, but that they also drive our clients’ businesses and lead to long term partnerships with Dow Jones. This will involve various levels of input – depending on client size and solution requirements – from teams across the Solutions Engine to deliver the proposed solution and if required, to manage the ongoing delivery of that solution post-sale. The other teams in the Solutions Engine are there to support the Client Services team to deliver against an RFP, pro-active proposal, or an Office of the CEO request.
The Client Service Directors, Media Client Services will be responsible for managing incoming solutions requests that are valued either under or over $1m, depending on the team.The solutions may require a range of different responses, from the customized, tailored response to the highly automated and fast turnaround. The client service director will be responsible for identifying the appropriate level of response.
The Client Service Director will be directly responsible for ensuring each team creates high-quality solutions that meet the client’s specific vision. The CS Director will focus on cultivating a innovative and creative team which continues to drive success and cutting edge ideas.
Responsibilities:
Client Service Director, Media Client Services, will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of their team’s agreed goals and service levels. Their primary objective is to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that exceed the client’s expectations.
The Client Services Director will manage a team of Client Service Managers who will need to to own a number and range of solution projects from start to finish, understand and use all project management tools, and ultimately deliver each solution to a timely conclusion for the client. The Client Services Director will ultimately hold accountability for the quality of delivery.
This objective indicates that the CS Director will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate processes and controls are developed that support team, department, and business goals.
The role holder will work very closely with the VP and other Client Service Directors to manage a flexible pool of Client Service Managers to ensure that the balance of resources is always optimally aligned to the fluctuating client demand. The Client Service Director will also be responsible for some of the larger solutions within their area.
As this is a new department, the role holder will be a strong internal advocate for the value and capabilities of the team. They will take a leadership role in working with sales teams and other parts of the business to create new, valuable ways-of-working with the objective of improving the organization’s RFP win rate.
The role holder will be expected to take a hands-on role in supporting senior Dow Jones leadership and sales teams in external meetings. They will take a proactive role in finding new ways and opportunities to talk about Dow Jones capabilities and offerings.
Skills and Experience:
• An in-depth understanding of RFP responses and the processes behind delivering RFPs
• Ability to both build policies and tools from scratch, and make strategic recommendations and ongoing refinements to existing project management policies, practices & procedures
• Restless and proactive attitude, always looking to optimize
• Ability to manage and juggle resources to meet fluctuating demand
• An ability to form strong relationships at all levels within Dow Jones
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
• Experience of dealing with senior members of global organizations
• Very organized and able to adapt to changing policies and demands
• Experience of delivering projects from initiation through completion
• A desire to learn and progress in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
