USA TODAY NETWORK is one of the top 20 digital companies in the country, sharing the list with Google, Facebook, and Amazon. And we have over 100 million unique visitors a month, which is more than Buzzfeed, Yahoo News, and Huffington Post. Because our team consists of over 110 local properties with USA TODAY at the helm, you’ll have the luxury of living in a community you love while making a national impact.
The Great Falls Tribune, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking
a photojournalist, well-versed in stills and video, to join its newsroom.
The ideal candidate is eager to create compelling images, working on quick turns
and deeper, impactful stories, both of which will get the community talking and
sharing. Daily assignments will vary from football games to restaurant reviews,
breaking news and daily enterprise in and around the Great Falls area, allowing this
photojournalist to flex creative muscle as well as cover hard news. He or she
must be social-media savvy and passionate about visual storytelling.
This photojournalist will also serve as a “video champion” for the Tribune, helping
to grow its audience by working with reporters, producers and other
photographers to encourage, critique and plan efforts.
The Tribune's photo team plays an important role in not only visual storytelling
but writing, with a weekly photo essay slot and front-page enterprise expected
from all members of the team. Strong writing skills are a must.
Weekend and evening work is expected, based on assignments. General news, features and
event photography.
