Vice President, Contract Management - Charter Network Operations Group
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for leading all aspects of: the negotiation, acquisition, business and technical alignment, and costs associated with Network Operations service and maintenance agreements. Will work with Procurement, Network Operations senior management, vendors, and contract and vendor management teams to acquire service and maintenance agreements that are inline with operational objectives, desired service levels, and cost targets. Will work with Network Operational teams to implement the necessary optional charges to track, report, and manage hardware and software maintenance metrics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages contract and vendor management team's efforts to analyze service and maintenance contracts to drive alignment with business goals and achieve cost savings
• Engages with Network Operations department leads and other functional business unit leaders to understand, assess, and document the level of support required for various products and vendors
• Partners with leaders from across Procurement, Business Planning, Network Operations, and other business units to develop and drive negotiation strategy for new contracts and renewals
• Prioritizes and manages the pipeline of service and maintenance contract evaluation and renewal/new contract negotiation
• Creates and utilizes models for alternative cost options and varied negotiation levers to be used with service and maintenance vendors
• Captures and reports on the results and impacts of contract and vendor management efforts; including vendor performance metrics, cost saving realization, right-sizing impacts, network uptime, etc.
• Manages development, deployment, and usage of a contract and vendor management tool to facilitate and enable data gathering, analytics, pipeline management, reporting, and negotiation
• Performs other duties as requested
BASIC / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
• Minimum ten (10) years experience in Network Management.
• Minimum ten (10) years experience in Vendor Contracts & Assessment.
• At least five (5) years experience in Corporate Procurement.
Preferred Skills:
• PContract Management certifications, or successful completion of a recognized negotiation curriculum.
