Job Summary
Responsible for developing and executing the Go-To-Market Strategy and plans for our evolving Advanced Data product portfolio. As the network evolves, this person is responsible for transitioning our existing Ethernet marketing strategies to address new needs, use cases and concerns including an increasingly virtualized network. The ideal candidate will be well versed and experienced leading marketing in Cloud, Data Center, SD Wan, NFV transformations as well as Metro Ethernet Services. They will understand the midmarket and enterprise customer segments and be well versed in product use cases, marketing and sales strategies. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Product Marketing and is closely aligned with corporate product teams, field sales and marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
• Develop lead gen programs and GTM strategies to drive our network evolution for data services and threat management services including multiple tactics, and channels. Responsible for establishing and driving credible commitments on product growth rate along with bottoms up and top down forecasting and plans
• Director must be able to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop Market Requirements Documentation, Go To Market Strategies, shape product roadmap and prioritization, refine product positioning and messaging, and support sales and marketing efforts
• Be the expert on the competition and how to differentiate our company. This individual will identify opportunities and translate that market intelligence into marketing requirements and action plans
• Be the expert and the keeper of detailed customer and market segmentation, customer buying criteria and buying behavior. Keep abreast of key industry trends as they relate to overall networking, SD WAN and Data Center activity
• Understand opportunities to leverage Data Center, Cloud and Software Defined Opportunities with existing Ethernet Services
• Collaborate and lead corporate marketing and creative teams to deliver web content, strategic videos, demos and other marketing assets that clearly exhibit the unique advantages of our solutions
• Create sales enablement tools that facilitate product and sales objectives to advance deals; includes developing collateral, supporting lead generation campaigns and campaign tracking/reporting
• Liaison with marketing sciences team for lead list generation and market segmentation initiatives
• Manage a content repository featuring enterprise product, marketing, research and competitive materials for sales team use that is refreshed quarterly
• Deliver enhanced and improved marketing collateral such as sales slicks, whitepapers and case studies along with a calendar and a plan for consistent and ongoing communication with the field sales teams through our Sales Operations team
• Tracks effectiveness of program results and ensures delivery of value proposition across channels and tactics
• Seeking an exceptionally talented, self-starter that is a hands on marketer. The individual will demonstrate experience that is heavy on cross functional alignment and has excellent presentation skills and business acumen.
• Support Sr. Director in creating quarterly marketing calendar
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• BS in Marketing, Business or related, relevant discipline; MBA preferredbut not required
--Generally requires 10+ years related experience; B to B marketing and/or sales management within cable, telecom, or related industries
• Proven track record for successfully marketing products/services to new markets. Experience in SD WAN is highly desirable. Knowledge of networking, cloud and/or network and application security is desired.
• Strong knowledge of advanced products required (Ethernet, SD WAN, NFV, and some knowledge of hosted voice solutions)
• Working knowledge of sales force preferred; understanding of marketing automation tools, lead management and tracking desired
• Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously within rapidly changing environment; comfortable with complexity, ambiguity, change
• Excellent organizational and planning skills; analytical, makes decisions using data/facts
• Ability to lead complex projects through management of cross functional teams; outstanding interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to influence change through interpersonal relationships; strong mediation skills; relationship builder; net-worker
• Excellent project management, verbal and written skills
• Some travel required ("25%)
