Position Summary
Responsible for designing and execution of creative collateral for all the business units as facilitated through the TV Marketing group, including: Programming, Social, Ad Sales, IT and others as assigned. Will have direct interaction with internal partners and work collectively with the TV Marketing team to develop campaign assets to drive business goals of organization overall. The ideal graphic designer will have agency experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work closely with internal partners to develop creative assets to meet the needs of the organization, includes: print collateral, on-air graphics, powerpoint presentation templates, e-communications & web content
• Collaborate with TV Marketing team to create off air campaign elements to support overall TV goals (drive tune-in, social engagement, integrated content, etc.)
• Collaborate with Cable Ad Sales team in creating assets for integrated ad products on TV
• Understand and consistently represent The Weather Channel TV brand in line with brand standards
• Ability to take direction from internal partners and internal stakeholders for creative review / approval
• Special projects as needed
Education, Experience, Certification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Arts or related field or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in design field
• Expert knowledge of current design software (e.g. Adobe creative suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• A strong portfolio displaying examples of work across different mediums (print, video, web, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of fundamental design principles (i.e. typography, color theory, composition, etc)
• Strong written and presentation skills, comfortable working directly with clients
• High attention to detail and able to solve visual design challenges
• Knowledge of internal and external messaging and marketing content creation
• Excellent Written/Verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills to work with all levels of customers
• Prioritization and tracking of multiple projects with little supervision
• Understanding of web development processes.

Hours
