Beauty Editor, BRIDES
The Beauty Editor will be responsible for conceiving and editing the beauty section of the magazine, writing some of the section, overseeing BRIDES annual beauty awards, contributing to BRIDES.com, and covering the beauty market. This position will report to the executive editor.
Primary Responsibilities
• Plan, assign or write, and edit the 4 – 6 page beauty section of the bi-monthly magazine.
• Write all beauty-related display copy.
• Manage and oversee the production of the annual BRIDES beauty awards.
• Pitch ideas and contribute content for BRIDES.com (as a writer and editor) on a weekly basis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with top beauty experts—hairstylists, makeup artists, dermatologists, social influencers, etc.
• Attend beauty market appointments and represent BRIDES at industry events, on social media, and ideally on TV and video.
• Become a leader in the bridal beauty space.
• Contribute to the creation of branded content as needed.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of print or digital experience in the beauty space
• Strong writing skills with ability to contribute original ideas.
• Fantastic collaborator and communicator who can partner with other key departments including edit, art, photo, and public relations.
• Passionate about beauty.
