Position Summary:
This Video Editor will be responsible for cutting long form interviews, comedy bits, stand-alone comedy tape pieces and clips from the live show.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assemble recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
• Cut down an archive of almost 700 long form interviews and thousands of pre-produced comedy sketches.
• Aggregate road trip comedy bits from raw materials.
• Help create our social media presence by cutting spots for Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
• Cut together thousands of musical performances.
• Upload and move content in Ooyala player as well as transcode the content.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Must have 3-5 years editing experience (comedy, news or interview based experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of PC based workstations.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
• Proficiency with other Adobe Software, such as After Effects and Photoshop.
• In-depth knowledge of video editing workflow, formats, codecs, plug-ins.
• Knowledge in sound design software such as Audition or ProTools is a plus.

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of PC based workstations.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
• Proficiency with other Adobe Software, such as After Effects and Photoshop.
• In-depth knowledge of video editing workflow, formats, codecs, plug-ins.
• Knowledge in sound design software such as Audition or ProTools is a plus.
• Must be skilled at Adobe Premier.
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
