Pearson is seeking an experienced Program Director for our Global Operations Team. The Global Operations Program Director will focus process and organization transformations within the operations and markets portfolio. Operations scope includes supply chain, procurement, property and customer services & support. Markets portfolio demand is driven by Pearson executives, program managing transformations of customer facing businesses and M&A.
Responsibilities:
• Actively manage transformation program(s), develop and oversee execution against implementation plan, manage and mitigate issues/risks and provide executive program updates in collaboration with the sponsors.
• Actively implement and manage governance and reporting to include key stakeholders in the lines of business and enabling functions. Drive delivery across multiple workstreams/business functions.
• Help identify and track program costs and benefits, aligning to business case and updating as program progresses.
• Employ change management best practices including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, etc. Oversee change resources for large transformations
• Manage program scope, institute and oversee change control processes.
• Provide advisory support to stakeholders on business process design, help drive process transformation and decision making.
Qualifications
• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in either managing project/programs as a business process owner or as part of a project management function.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills; excellent business acumen.
• Proven ability to create and manage strategic relationships at the executive levels; able to constructively challenge to drive outcomes.
• Proven leadership ability to transform and motivate large organizations.
• Experience of creating and managing program functions delivering large and complex programs.
• Experience of risk/issue and change management.
