Gannett Co. Inc. and the USA TODAY NETWORK are seeking a highly motivated Local Sales Manager, to direct consumer subscription sales efforts. The right candidate will have a management background in subscription marketing and sales including outbound telemarketing and other 3rd party sales channels, will be a vibrant contributor to the sales team through innovative thinking, and will be performance driven.
This position has a significant role within a larger sales team that is responsible for all consumer marketing and sales at The Arizona Republic, but is also part of a team that drives subscription sales for Gannett publications throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing outside vendor/partner sales relationships in specific areas such as direct mail, telemarketing, kiosk and door-to-door sales.
• Create sales incentive programs to assist in team motivation for internal/external vendors.
• Manage data as part of a collaborative sales team, developing acquisition campaigns across all sales channels.
• Engage potential consumers through social media and other digital assets to bring them into an alignment with our brands and products
• Manage and prioritize monthly and annual revenue to meet budgeted goals.
• Meet and exceed all volume goals and targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 2+ years of prior experience in a successful sales/marketing/retail role.
• Digital background in SEM/SEO, retargeting, display and social media a plus.
• Must be able to develop and execute successful sales campaigns across multiple platforms to ensure budgeted sales and engagement goals are met.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required.
• Demonstrated experience managing 3rd Party vendor relationships required.
• Current valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and good driving history required.
