Editor, French Canada
The North America Shows & Editorial team is looking for an Editor, French Canada to join their Toronto team reporting into the Head of Content Programming, North America.
The Editor, French Canada will be responsible for the development and promotion of culturally relevant, topical programming including:
What you’ll do
• Identify and substantiate playlist hypotheses for French Canada (i.e., the perfect music for a dinner party with friends or the best running playlist.)
• Curate, analyze and maintain a large number of playlists in a variety of genres for a variety of audiences, moods, and moments for French Canada.
• Create and execute programming/promotional strategies based on performance indicators.
Who you are
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledgeable of the music industry and music trends across Canada, especially Quebec, both currently and historically.
• Fluency in both English and Canadian French required.
• Ability to quickly and accurately translate English to Canadian French and vice-versa.
• Experience in music programming/curation, or in the music/entertainment industry, is required.
• A keen sense of what music is appropriate for any situation.
• The ability to identify great songs from all genres and styles.
• A strong understanding of and experience with Spotify as a user and fan.
• Team spirit, excellent work ethic.

• Exceptional verbal communication and organizational skills.
• The ability to comprehend and productively respond to analytics.
• Keen attention to detail.
• A strong propensity to take initiative and absolutely thrive on change.
• The ability to excel in individual work as well as with cross-functional, worldwide initiatives toward mutual objectives.
• Technical proficiency with common Mac/iOS/Google/Android software.
• Ability to travel when needed
