The Associate Director is a highly visible leadership role focused on pre and post-sale support activities, ensuring client satisfaction as well as development and growth of the relationships for Condé Nast’s advertising business. This role oversees a team of Account Managers, Sales Planners and Campaign Managers who are aligned with Conde Nast’s Sales organization. The leader and their team are tasked with delivery of strategic media plans and packages, highly analytical wrap reports and recommendations for upsells and renewals that are aligned with clients’ business objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with Sales and Director to provide strategic direction on product and packaging strategies that are aligned with client KPIs and goals.
• Manage workload across the team to ensure balance for pre and post-sale
• Working with Sales Planners to address unique Developing and curating training and education for Sales Planners
• Focus the team on achieving campaign benchmarks and operating goals tied to close rates, renewal and upsells
• Lead and manage by example in responsiveness and tone in communication (internal and external)
• Set team goals and development plans for individuals on the team to support their enrichment and longer term career development
• Contribute to the development and delivery of training for new hires and existing team on process, best practices and product sales approaches and features/functionality.
• Be point of escalation and facilitate conversations around sensitive client service needs, working with the team to quickly resolve campaign issues.
• Partner with Sales Reps, Business Affairs, Digital Revenue Ops, and Digital Ad Ops to ensure the team is properly connected with the other departments involved in the sales process.
• Provide proactive recommendations to improve the campaign execution processes, including recommendations to update configuration of systems and workflow.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of client service experience in the Advertising industry
• BS, preferred in Marketing or Business (or other related field)
• Demonstrated success at working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships internally and externally.
• Proven track record of client customer success, ability to lead team and drive incremental revenue.
• Strong attention to detail, good follow-up and able to generate creative solutions to meet client needs
• Approach work with a sense of urgency and accountability
• Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Excellent organization and communication and skills
• Proficient in Keynote, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
• Experience with Ad Sales platforms and Ad Technologies: Salesforce.com, DFP, AdBook, IAS, MOAT
