• Provide web analytics support to business stakeholders from around News UK; including editorial, marketing and commercial teams
• Proactive analysis of News UK properties, making data led recommendations to improve user journeys and experience
• Support the Digital Analytics Manager to add value to News UK with web and social data-based analysis / insights
• Production of digital and social data-based insights, providing quick /proactive turnaround directly to end users
• Work closely with AIA Business Partners to support fact-based consumer decisions
• Support innovation in digital analytics to drive transformation in News UK applications, products and services
What are my Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Carry out analysis of digital and social activity for titles and commercial campaigns using Adobe Analytics and other relevant tools as required
• Provide actionable insight to internal stakeholders, enabling them to better achieve business goals
• Be available to prioritise the delivery of high priority, fast turnaround briefs from stakeholders
• Deliver high quality digital and social media analytics responses to planned and ad hoc briefs
• Explaining, troubleshooting and resolving any queries around digital data, its capture and its representation to the stakeholders
• Contribute to the management and optimisation of the digital and social media analytics platforms
• Collaborate with other AIA teams to provide a ‘joined up’ insights and analytics response to briefs
• Contribute to business led proposition development and other projects, providing subject matter expertise around digital analytics capability current and potential
• Maintain and expand personal knowledge of analytics tools across all digital media
Useful knowledge, skills and experience
• Experience with one or more digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is essential
• Experience with SQL is preferred, but not essential
• Experience with a social analytics tool such as Sprinklr or Brandwatch would be beneficial
• Experience with a data visualisation tool such as Tableau would be beneficial
• A good understanding of the role of analytics within the media sector
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
• Proven track record of delivering and presenting actionable insights and analyses to stakeholders
• High levels of logical thinking and problem solving skills, ability to draw meaningful conclusions from disparate and incomplete sources
• Numerically brilliant with an understanding of analytics processes using any media/channel
• Able to understand complex business questions and to be able to frame the right analytical questions
