Job Description
Supervise post production of programs in a file-based format from assignment creation through delivery to channels and clients, on time and with 100% accuracy, enforcing A+E’s technical specifications so as to meet standards and practices.
• Actively manage assignment schedule based on airdates, client priorities, department edit calendar and availability of source materials to assure airdates are met.
• Screen and prepare programs for formatting, and cutting time when necessary. Check for technical problems as well as Standards and Practices issues.
• Prepare detailed edit prep notes for editors. Produce extra elements for program when necessary.
• Coordinate delivery of all materials to post-production facilities in advance of edit sessions.
• Provide feedback, guidance and screening materials to other departments (ie: program EP) when needed.
• Prepare detailed reports for other departments regarding S&P, timing of programs, and edit usage.
• Format and deliver program, always maintaining A+E Networks technical and creative standards. Make necessary fixes to program using supplier fixes or by working with editor.
• When required, write and produce content including enhanced, revised, revamped or updated long form programs, and compilation programs as directed by A+E’s Programming and Scheduling teams. Meet brand style and content quality requirements, as well as enterprise-level technical and S&P standards.
Qualification Requirements
College degree
- BA in Communications. 5-7 years television production experience.
Knowledge of program production essential.
Experience with state of the art audio and video post production techniques and facilities, and a strong technical understanding of broadcast-quality production is required.

Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than twelve (12) months.
