Senior Communications Manager

General Summary:
The Senior Communications Manager will support the Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks in Latin America (all markets other than Mexico and Brazil). The Senior Manager will define PR and Corporate Communications strategic plans for the Press, both publicity and trades. It must maintain the awareness and top of mind of SPT’s Brands Canal Sony, AXN and Crackle with both traditional and non-traditional media outlets.
Responsibilities:
• Work in line with and reinforce SPT Networks’ marketing objectives through leveraging traditional media, digital and social media.
• Continuously monitor press coverage of channels in OLA markets to ensure the objectives success.
• Maintain and follow the company’s corporate identity of SPE Networks.
• Coordinate events throughout public relations agencies.
• Identify and supervise SPE Networks corporate standards of communication (aligned with Sony Corp. requirements).
• Draft communication pieces for SPE Networks executives and coordinate interviews with media when necessary.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with the various media representatives.
• Support Channel Managers and Regional Managers in the creation of communication pieces.
• Facilitate communication flow within SPE Networks.
• Coordinate and develop platforms and models needed to maintain a good level of internal communication.
• Manage communications budgets.
• Manage and actively participate in SPE Networks special events, or other activities.
• Produce communication pieces for third parties (outline SPE Networks, Specific answers and questions).
• Prepare effective press releases.
• Manage talent relationships and consumer facing PR/press for all acquisition titles and original programming.
• Work directly with content distributor PR teams to gain access to talent and productions.
• Manage and execute talent tours, junkets, EPK/promo shoots.
• Manage local PR agencies.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Fully bilingual in English/Spanish
• Excellent communication skills in writing and editing
• Ability to communicate and maintain key relationships with internal and external clients
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative and flexible individual
• High level of judgment in communications with experience leading PR/Communications campaigns, as well as creating and executing on PR strategy
• Established relationships with PR agencies covering the Latin America region
• Experience working within the digital space (i.e. social media/social PR)
• Moderate travel is required.
Experience:
• 5+ years of Communications, Public Relations, Publicity experience required
• 3+ years of TV/Media experience required, working within the Latin America region
Education:
• Bachelor's degree is required with emphasis in Marketing and/or Communications
• Master’s degree in Marketing/Communication is preferred
